Mazeppa Gold Targets

Gold anomalies have been identified by soil geochemical sampling in a corridor prospective for shallow mesothermal gold mineralisation.  The gold corridor is associated with the faulted contact of the Silver Hills Volcanics, at the base of the Drummond Basin sequence.

Targets are Matilda, West Lucky Break and Frankfield Hill.

Matilda

This prospect to the north east of Lucky Break gold mine is defined by a 200m by 150m wide gold anomaly of > 20ppb by soil sampling.  Gold assays of up to 37 ppb have elevated copper and arsenic values.

West Lucky Break

This target is a gold and silver soil anomaly over 300m by 300m about 1km west of Lucky Break gold mine, with > 20 ppb by soil sampling.

Frankfield Hill

Assay results from soil sampling, south of the Byjingo gold mine, identified a gold anomaly, 300m by 200m, with an average value > 40 ppb.  Assay results from rock chip sampling returned maximum composite sample results of 2.4 and 1.3 g/t Au from sub-crops adjacent to the MMI anomaly.
