Anthony Molybdenum Deposit

Resource

Resource estimates have been carried out by resource consultants Hellman & Schofield Pty Ltd (H&S), in accordance with the JORC Code & Guidelines. H&S give the following Inferred Resource estimate dated March, 2012:

When near-surface oxide and transition (partly oxidised) material is taken into account, the total resource is 318 million tonnes (Mt) at 385ppm Mo, including 25 Mt at 782ppm Mo.

Deposit Features

  • Large porphyry molybdenum (Mo) deposit
  • Open at depth (below 300m) and laterally
  • High grade core +750 ppm Mo with lower grade +400ppm Mo halo
  • Weathered (oxidised) cap up to 80m depth

Location

  • Established mine infrastructure
  • Access to power & water
  • Sealed highway to project area
  • Proximity to port facilities
  • Favourable regulatory regime
  • No land access issues

Geology

The target rock sequences outcrop very poorly and are largely covered by black soil. The Mo mineralisation defined to date over an area of 600 x 400m, is adjacent to the SE margin of a bullseye aeromagnetic anomaly.

Mo mineralisation is hosted by non-magnetic porphyritic intrusives and metamorphic rocks of the Anakie Group.

Detailed logging of drill core is showing a complex geological system involving multiple igneous intrusions, extensive multi-phase rock alteration, brecciation and multiple vein-forming events.

Metallurgy

  • Potential for cheap and simple benefication to produce a higher-grade feedstock for subsequent treatment in a flotation circuit
  • Excellent flotation circuit recovery to produce a 45-50% Mo concentrate
  • Low concentrations of deleterious elements
  • Potential recovery of molybdenum from the oxide zone.

Discovery Potential

The Anthony deposit remains open laterally and at depth, indicating that, with additional drilling, an increased resource can be identified.

No significant gold or copper has been intersected in the drilling to date. Elevated copper in drill intersections and the nearby Belyando gold deposit show the potential for gold and copper near to the Anthony deposit.

The deposit was discovered in 2007, by soil geochemical surveying by Zamia over the aeromagnetic anomaly of the Dead Horse Bore Intrusive Complex and adjacent ground. Previous shallow drilling had indicated elevated concentrations of Mo to the south east of the main target.
